We are ECSTATIC to announce our Spring Welsh Weekender 2026- an all levels weekend of inspiring teaching and dancing with the incredible Katie Cobalt & Mike Sonder.
When they’re not throwing down HARD at international competitions, Katie & Mike are all about creating supportive, inclusive spaces for folks to express themselves in their dancing and grow their cultural understanding of jazz.
Perfect for dancers who want to kick their Lindy up a notch, this is a great opportunity to learn from this experienced dancing duo who love to share their passion for the history of jazz.
PLUS there’ll be our Saturday Night Dance (band TBC) in our beautiful sprung floor venue AND our Sunday Morning Culture Talk, exploring Queer Jazz History.
The Weekend
Saturday 28th March: 4hrs Lindy Hop Workshops + 1hr Solo Jazz Workshop
Saturday Night: Live Band + Evening Dance
Sunday 29th March: Culture Talk + 4hrs Lindy Hop Workshops
For these workshops it will be assumed that all attendees are confident social dancers, comfortable mixing 6 count, 8 count and Charleston ideas (you’ll have classic moves like a swing outs in your pocket). You value grooves over moves and want to explore quality of movement, rhythm and expression!
You are comfortable with solo routines like the Shim Sham and want to explore your solo movement more.

Terms & Conditions
Bookings are non-refundable unless this event is cancelled by the organiser. In the case that the event is cancelled, all attendees will be fully refunded or offered a chance to pass their booking over to a new date.
If you purchase a ticket and then cannot make the event, please let us know as we will operate a waiting list and may be able to put you in touch with someone who can take your place.
Safety Measures
As this larger event brings together so many people of all ages and health concerns from across the country, we review our safety policy before each and every event. Safety policy decisions will be made closer to the date and attendees will be informed. When you sign up, you are agreeing to abide by such safety requirements if they are in place. This includes those attending just the socials.
If you test positive for COVID, or display symptoms, we ask that you do not attend.
