Access To Dance

At The Swing Project, we believe that everyone should have access to opportunities to dance and learn, no matter your financial situation.

Every month, we offer free opportunities to social dance at our Mini Monday & Tuesday Socials, Wednesday Night Hop and Saturday Night Swing however we recognise that individuals may still feel unable to attend classes when money becomes tight. We do not want money to be a barrier for dancers to pursue their passion to learn more about Lindy Hop and the culture it comes from.

This is where the Access to Dance Pass comes in. Each week, we offer a number of Access to Dance Passes, enabling anyone experiencing financial difficulty to attend a class* for free. You don’t need to explain your situation, no questions will be asked and all requests will be kept confidential.

Want to attend a Solo Jazz Sunday workshop? Access to Dance Passes are also available for our monthly Sunday Jazz workshops - for workshops, they allow dancers struggling financially to attend for 50% off.

The swing dance community is a supportive and inclusive environment and we hope that if you do find yourself in difficult circumstances, you are comforted by the knowledge that you are part of our family. This is simply our way of saying “we’ve got you”.

*Valid for use at Intro to Lindy Hop (4-week Course), Lindy Hop: Level 1 and 2, Wednesday Night Hop @ Bootlegger.
