The Swing Project offers a range of services to help you bring the spirit of the swing era to your event. From Taster Classes and team building, to first dances and swing music DJing, let us help make your event truly unique.

We are able to provide workshops in Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz for any size group and for all levels. We are also able to offer tuition for groups of dancers who are at various stages of their dancing journey, from hour long sessions to weekend long events. Whatever the occasion, we aim to tailor our workshops to your event to make sure you and your group have the best possible time!

We also offer help with, or the creation of choreography in both Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz. Whether it’s your first dance, or a public performance, The Swing Project can help you prepare for any big day.

Workshops

Want to host a workshop with The Swing Project? We are available to teach all levels of Lindy Hop workshops as well as Solo Jazz & Charleston. All our workshops are taught with a strong emphasis on connecting our dancing to the history and values of jazz dance, exploring creativity, collaboration and self expression as well as clear lead/follow communication and connection.

We are available for half day/full day and weekend workshops.

TASTER CLASSES

Taster classes are a great option for weddings, team-building days, and activity groups. Whatever the occasion, The Swing Project can provide custom made Taster Classes to get all your attendees on the dance floor, and create an event to remember. We offer a range of styles including both classic Lindy Hop and 1920’s Charleston, and can create fun-filled classes for both solo routines or partnered dancing.

We have taught at birthdays, schools, weddings, hen parties, music festivals, team building days, and more!

Here at The Swing Project, we love sharing our passion for the music of the swing era. Hiring us to DJ your event will bring a vintage vibe to the occasion and will guarantee a packed dance floor. Sets can be tailored to the host’s preferences to ensure your event is truly unique.

    Jessie and Benjie were fantastic teachers - they were really patient, communicated clearly and worked at our pace. It was clearly important to them that we enjoyed the experience of learning and that, ultimately, our first dance would be one of the highlights of the day - and it certainly was! We looked forward to our dance lessons every week, and getting to learn a new skill and have fun together helped us deal with the pre-wedding stress too.

  • Jessie and Benjie’s dance lesson was one of the highlights of our wedding day. Myself and my husband are swing dancers and we booked a band for our wedding that everyone could dance to. We booked Jessie and Benjie to teach a taster class to get our friends and family up dancing with us - and it worked!
