One Day Workshops
During the year, The Swing Project regularly hosts one day workshops to feed your appetite for all things swing.
The focus of each workshop varies - from musicality and connection in Lindy Hop, to Solo Jazz, Balboa, Blues and Shag - with each providing a stimulating and nurturing atmosphere to explore new ideas and expand your learning.
BALBOA BOOTCAMP

All levels Workshop
2-6pm Workshops, including breaks

Often called "a dancer's dance", Balboa is a swing dance originating in California in the 1920s characterized by its close embrace and rhythmic weight shift changes. When faster tempos are flooding the dancerfloor, Bal is a great way to glide across the floor and a fun addition to your Swing Dancing repertoire.
New to Bal? No Problem. Already got some steps under your belt but looking to take your Bal up a notch? We've got you covered too at this workshop that brings together dancers of all levels to build better fundamentals, fun variations and creative dancefloor possibilities together.
This workshop is open to all levels.

“I’ve danced for a long time now in many different styles and in many different scenes, but these workshops and tea dances have been amongst the most enjoyable I’ve attended.”
“These workshops provide excellent value for money, a superb variety of content and the opportunity to social dance afterwards to practice what you’ve learnt. Plus there’s cake...so much cake!”
